TPAs NAS and Neuron have launched a telehealth network service for their members in support of the UAE government's guidelines to limit physical contact between people as part of its efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19.
The initiative was launched in partnership with Kings College Hospital, Mediclinic and Prime Healthcare Group.
NAS and Neuron collectively serve over 1.4m members in the UAE, all of whom can now access the healthcare services they need through the new telehealth offering without compromising their health and safety.
There are three types of services members can choose from, including consultation with a general physician using the myNas or Neuron mobile app, which is open to all members regardless of their network eligibility.
GP services are available exclusively for NAS and Neuron members from 8am to 8pm. Through a dedicated GP helpdesk, members can call the designated telehealth network facilities, share their identification details with the facility and receive an instant teleconsultation, without any cost to the insurers. The service gives members access to a host of medical professionals at Kings’s College Hospital via video conferencing and telephone calls.
In addition, specialist consultations are also available for new appointments with Mediclinic and Prime Healthcare Group, depending on the member’s network eligibility.
Those in need of prescription refills and associated medical advice on ongoing treatment can contact their regular doctors directly within the network. In cases where medication is prescribed, the facility will deliver it on the same day. Members will receive a link through SMS for them to make payments online.
