UAE:Kay International AMEA launches in DIFC

Kay International AMEA has launched its office at the Dubai International Financial Centre to offer reinsurance risk placement services for risks located in Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

The company operates as an independent multi-line underwriting general agency (MGA) and reinsurance placement intermediary (broker).

The company is headed by Mr Walid Sidani, who has over 25 years of global and regional executive and leadership experience, and was most recently the CEO of Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC).

Kay International AMEA Limited is the sister company of Kay International (UK), which has been operating globally since 1980 and holds dual designation as a Lloyds-approved coverholder and Lloyds broker.

Mr Bahram (Brian) Salmanpour, Chairman of the board of Kay International (UK), serves as Non-Executive Chairman of Kay International AMEA. The board of the AMEA company also comprises of several global and regional reinsurance and insurance professionals, namely, Abbas Bolurfrushan, Nicholas Hales, Sridhar Subbaraman and Walid Sidani.  

Mr Salmanpour said: “Our vision is to establish a regional hub in the DIFC to leverage longstanding relationships developed over decades and now with the right team, this vision is being realised.”
