The 36 insurance companies in the private sector in Egypt commanded a share of 68.8% of total premiums collected in 2020, according to data from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

Cancer incidence rates are increasing in Egypt with an overall average annual increase of 6.5%, according to data provided by international healthcare benefits management company GlobeMed. Egypt sees an average of around 362 new cancer cases per 100,000 persons.
