The Iraqi Insurance Diwan (IID), the insurance regulator, has announced the completion of a draft Code of Professional Conduct for the insurance sector.
This Code aims to ensure fairness and transparency in the provision of services, according to a statement posted by the IID on its website. This is part of the efforts of the IID to develop the insurance sector and enhance public confidence.
The Code was drafted under the direction of the Minister of Finance, Ms Taif Sami Mohammed, and under the supervision of Ms Israa Saleh Dawood, IID president.
Ms Dawood said that the Code sets out clear obligations of insurance companies, most notably, the accurate disclosure of information and adherence to ethical standards in dealing with customers. M
