Oman: Al Madina Takaful launches mobile app

Al Madina Takaful has launched a mobile application, mInsurance, believed to be the first such app in Oman.

The new app is part of efforts to help the company stay closer to customers and educate them on new takaful products, company officials said at the launch.

The app’s features enable the purchase and renewal of policies, claims processing, quote generation, identification of locations of branches, garages and hospitals, and more.

For a limited period, the company is offering competitive rates on motor, housemaid and travel policies which are renewed or bought through the app. mInsurance is available for both Apple and Android users.

Al Madina Takaful will also be setting up self-service kiosks at key locations in Oman for consumers to avail services around the clock, supported by a dedicated call-centre facility.
