Bahrain: BNH forms internal actuarial unit

Bahrain National Holding Company (BNH) has established an internal actuarial unit, which includes specialised Bahraini cadres.

The unit assesses risks, calculates insurance premiums, computes investment returns and prepares the required reports for BNH and its subsidiaries.

BNH group CEO Samir Al Wazzan said the establishment of the internal actuarial unit for the group is also for appointing Bahraini competencies to enable them to become qualified actuarial experts. The move is in line with the goals of the Central Bank of Bahrain to develop the insurance sector. M
