Bahrain: Training institute releases book on technical aspects of takaful

The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) has issued a book on Islamic insurance in a strategic partnership with Gulf Insurance Group (GIG).
GIG is represented by its three leading companies: Gulf Insurance (Kuwait), Bahrain Kuwait Insurance - Gulf Insurance (Bahrain), and Takaful International - Gulf Insurance (Bahrain Takaful).
With the title ‘Takaful: Technical and Operational Aspects’, the book will serve as a comprehensive reference for Islamic insurance and its operations. It will be a source of valuable educational material and indispensable information on various technical and operational aspects of takaful transactions in the region and the world. The aim is to promote the growth of the takaful sector.
BIBF director Dr Ahmed Al-Shaikh said, “In the past few years, the Bahrain has witnessed rapid growth in the Islamic insurance sector, as it is considered one of the first countries to implement the best supervisory standards and enact the necessary laws and regulations for takaful.”
The BIBF will publish the book internationally and it will be used as a main study reference for one of the four units of the ‘BIBF - Certified Islamic Insurance Professional (CIIP)’ programme. This programme leads to a certified professional certificate in Islamic insurance. M
