The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has awarded Mr Hussain Al Ajmi, CEO of Foundation for Insurance and Finance Education, with the Allan Bridgewater Award for Excellence.
The award is bestowed to those who have demonstrated a lasting impact in the insurance sector both locally and globally.
Mr Al Ajmi has contributed to the MENA insurance sector for three decades as an insurance and risk management professional. He has translated, authored and co-authored over 40 course materials and textbooks in the area of insurance and risk management for the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and the CII, in addition to other US-based global organisations including AHIP, LOMA and The Institutes. He was previously the assistant director & head of Insurance Learning Center of the BIBF.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr Al Ajmi said, “It is an honour to be the recipient of the prestigious Allan Bridgewater Award for Excellence. It was my mission to contribute towards raising of standards of the insurance industry within the Arab world. I’m pleased to dedicate this award to the Central Bank of Bahrain for their continued support. I would also like to thank the CII and its awards panel for their trust and recognition of my contribution to the enhancement of the training and development of the insurance and risk management professions.” M
