Asia Insurance Review’s 20th Asia Bancassurance conference is the main event for banks, insurers, regulators, financial services providers and leading industry leaders to come together and discover the game-changing disruptions fuelling the future of FinTech, InsurTech, digital distribution and mobile payments. The two-day event will look at customer service and engagement, innovative solutions to improve underwriting, pricing and payment systems, how bancassurance has transformed over the past two decades and the direction bancassurance should envision.

RIMS Annual Conference

46th African Insurance Organisation (AIO) Conference and Annual General Assembly 
Theme: “Insurance Penetration in Africa: Insuring the Uninsured”
8-13 Jun, Johannesburg, South Africa
Under this year’s theme – Insurance Penetration in Africa: Insuring the Uninsured – the conference will focus on insurance distribution and inclusivity across the continent. Other topical issues under discussion will include microinsurance and the effects of climatic events (such as floods, droughts and wildfires) on the industry and the economy in general.
 
Each year, the event attracts senior delegates from across Africa and the rest of the world to discuss the most pressing issues facing the insurance industry on the continent at the time.
 
This year’s conference is organised by the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), under the chairmanship of IISA CEO Thokozile Mahlangu.

Gulf Insurance Forum 
16-17 Oct, Dubai, UAE
The Gulf Insurance Forum, now in its 16th year, will feature plenary sessions and panel discussions with industry leaders and experts and will provide an opportunity to address important issues and their impact on the insurance and reinsurance industry. The topics include: providing social protection for different categories of workers; towards the sustainability of pension funds; insurance companies and social security; retirement planning between insurance companies and asset management; privatisation of pension funds and the role of life insurers.
