Jordan: AqabaConf 2019 Research Award attracts 35 entries

The Jordan Insurance Federation (JIF) has received 35 research papers on the topic ‘e-insurance’ from around the region, vying for the Research Award at the upcoming Aqaba Conference 2019 (AqabaConf).
The JIF said that e-insurance has proven to be a very important topic worthy of research as it touches on the future of the industry. Entries closed on 1 March 2019.
The Research Evaluation Committee for the Award held its first meeting at JIF’s headquarters. The evaluation committee comprises former JIF chairman Waseem W Zurub, former JIF chairman and gig Jordan CEO Dr Ali Al Wazani, and former JIF board member/insurance consultant Mr Basem Haddadeen.
The committee received a copy of the research papers presented without the personal details of the writers for a more transparent evaluation process, and spent the meeting detailing the criteria to be used for the evaluation process.
AqabaConf 2019 will present the Research Award for the very first time as part of the JIF’s drive to enhance the insurance sector and help maintain the technological edge it has established throughout the years. The award marks 10 years since the inaugural conference was held.
The first, second and third place award winners will be announced during the opening ceremony of the conference on 15 April 2019. M
