19 winners take centre stage at the 12th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards

The 12th Middle East Insurance Industry Awards (MIIA) honoured 19 exceptional winners on 26 November 2025 in a glittering ceremony at Altantis the Palm, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
With a pool of around 200 entries spanning 19 categories, this year’s awards boasted a fiercely competitive field, a sign of the exceptional standards and achievements across the Middle East’s insurance domain.
Launched in 2014, the MIIA remains the region’s most rigorous and coveted accolades in the industry.??GIG Jordan took home the coveted General Insurance Company of the Year award, while HAYAH Insurance was named the Life Insurance Company of the Year.
On the reinsurance side, Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) was crowned the Life Reinsurer of the Year, and Saudi Re won the General Reinsurer of the Year award. SHIELDS Reinsurance Brokers was handed the well-deserved Reinsurance Broker of the Year award.
Individual excellence was also celebrated, with Mr Majed Al Marzooqi of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company named as the Corporate Risk Manager of the Year. Arab Loss Adjusters’ Mr Khalid Jishi was announced as the Young Leader of the Year, and Dubai International Financial Centre Authority’s Gractia Aoa-De Gracia was bestowed the Woman Leader of the Year award.
The highest tribute, Insurance Industry Leader of the Year, was reserved for Mr Mohammed Mazhar Hamadeh, for his exceptional career and his considerable influence on the industry.
