The Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC), launched in 1991, provides insurance professionals a forum to meet and discuss issues of the day, while taking stock of developments in the reinsurance market and starting preparations for the following year’s treaty renewals.
Opening the Conference this year will be the guest-of-honour Mr Chia Der Jiun, managing director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, who will deliver the official keynote address.
He will be followed by Mr Patrick Tiernan, CEO of Lloyd’s of London, who will deliver the opening keynote of this year’s conference. This will be Mr Tiernan’s first major address in Asia since taking over the chief executive’s role in May 2025.
Over the years, the SIRC has gained a strong reputation and loyal following, with reinsurers, insurers and reinsurance brokers from all over the world attending and conducting bilateral discussions alongside the main conference, which attracted over 3,300 registered delegates from around the world in 2024.

Middle East Insurance Review hosts the Middle East Insurance Industry Awards. The 2025 edition is the 12th to be staged.
The awards are a celebration of the brightest stars in the Middle East insurance industry across 19 categories this year, spanning the breadth of the insurance value chain.
The winners will be announced at a gala event held in Dubai on 26 November 2025, during which the Awards will be presented.
