Dubai-based ETG Insurance & Risk Solutions (EIRS), the rapidly growing insurance and reinsurance division of the global agri-commodity conglomerate ETG, has formed a strategic partnership with BrokerPlus, a Turkish insurance brokerage.

This marks EIRS’s formal entry into the Turkish insurance market, according to a statement released by EIRS. This alliance merges EIRS’s international reinsurance strength with BrokerPlus’s deep local market expertise, enabling both firms to better serve Turkish corporates expanding across Africa and the Middle East.

Expanding the EIRS Global Network

BrokerPlus becomes the second member of the EIRS Network, following a successful partnership forged with Epicure Insurance Brokers in Nigeria. EIRS announced in May 2025 that Epicure had joined the network.

The EIRS Network is on track to onboard eight additional specialist insurance brokers across Southern Europe, the Middle East, and the UK by the end of 2026, creating a globally integrated platform of insurance experts.

"This partnership represents more than market entry, it's about creating synergies between our global reinsurance capabilities in London and Dubai, and BrokerPlus' client relationships and trust," said Mr Abhishek Jain, CEO of EIRS. "Turkish companies are increasingly active across Africa, where EIRS has established a strong presence, making this collaboration full of sense."

A complementary partnership

EIRS contributes:

BrokerPlus brings:

Expertise in Aviation, Construction, Financial Lines/Trade Credit, and Logistics

Strong growth trajectory and tailored risk transfer solutions

Direct access to global reinsurance markets via London and Dubai

Specialisation in Financial risks (e.g. Trade Credit, Fidelity), general aviation and employee benefits solutions

Strong operational footprint across Africa to support Turkish corporate expansion

Deep access to Turkish corporates operating locally and internationally

Leadership

BrokerPlus is led by Mr Murat Altin, former managing director at JLT Group, alongside senior insurance executives Ms Hulya Lafci Guner and Ms Simla Ozdogan, who have established a strong reputation in the Turkish insurance landscape.

Mr Nolwenn Allano, chief commercial officer of EIRS, adds insight, having successfully led the launch of Gras Savoye in Turkiye in 2001 (later acquired by Willis Towers Watson in 2016).

Right time, right opportunity

The partnership comes at a pivotal moment:

  • Turkish corporates are accelerating infrastructure investments across Africa in energy, transportation, and construction
  • Turkiye’s aviation sector is expanding rapidly, driving demand for sophisticated risk and insurance solutions

ETG Insurance & Risk Solutions (EIRS) is fully owned by ETG, a 60-year-old agricultural commodity conglomerate. EIRS leverages ETG's global presence to provide specialised insurance solutions through platforms in London and Dubai, with particular strength in African markets.

BrokerPlus, established in 2018, is a rapidly growing Turkish insurance brokerage specialising in credit insurance, fidelity policies, and surety bonds.
