atar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) has signed an MoU with Jordan-based Arab Insurance Institute (AII) to provide world-class insurance education and training services in Qatar.
As part of the agreement, 20 programmes will be offered in English and Arabic, the first of which was scheduled to start on 19 February 2017.
The tie-up is part of QFBA’s strategy to partner with renowned specialised institutes to develop the country’s human capital.
“On the industry level, this will raise the skills and knowledge of the human capital in the insurance industry, and will match the sector’s training qualifications with the evolving job market needs.
“On the national level, individuals and organisations in Qatar will benefit from a higher standard of services that better caters to their insurance needs. This MoU creates a win-win situation for all parties involved and opens up a whole world of opportunities in the industry,” said QFBA’s CEO Dr Abdulazziz Al Horr.
The MoU aims to catalyse the delivery of globally recognised insurance courses to the sector’s professionals in Qatar from leading international insurance organisations, including the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK for general insurance), Life Office Management Association (USA for life insurance), America’s Health Insurance Plans Insurance Education (USA for health insurance), and The Institutes (USA for risk management).
