Source: Middle East Insurance Review | Jun 2023

Howden is working to establish a hub in Turkiye which will manage business in the Caucasus, Turkic republics and Commonwealth of Independent States countries said Howden Turkiye, Middle East and Africa group CEO Atinc Yilmaz.

He told Anadolu Agency that hub plans for Turkiye are due to the maturity and size of the Turkish insurance market.

The business managed out of Turkiye will be separated from regional operations handled by the Dubai office.
He said that the broker has four offices in Turkiye at present which employ more than 200 people.

“We are planning to open the fifth one in Gaziantep now,” he said. Gaziantep is in southern Turkiye and is one of the areas hit by the 6 February earthquakes.

He said that he had visited Gaziantep before 6 February. During the visit, he received a number of inquiries about insurance from businesses and industrial enterprises. M
