Turkey: Eight insurers among top 100 tax-paying businesses

Eight insurers in Turkey are ranked among the top 100 tax-paying businesses this year, twice the number last year when four insurers were on the list. According to a report in the newspaper Haberturk, the eight insurers and the amounts of taxes they are to pay based on 2017 financial results are:
The top tax-payer is the Central Bank of Turkey with tax payable of TRY3,091.4m ($581.2m). The next seven biggest tax-payers on the list are banks.
Apart from insurers and banks, the other top tax-payers in Turkey are from the telecommunication, energy, construction, retail, mining, technology and logistics sectors. M
