EMEA: Six insurers within the region win LOMA Awards

Six companies within the EMEA region have won the prestigious LOMA Education Awards this year. Britam (Kenya) and Zurich International Life (UAE) have been awarded the Excellence in Education Award, while Sun Life Financial (Ireland), Liberty Life Kenya (Kenya), MetLife (UAE), and MSG Global Solutions (Serbia and Montenegro) have received the Educational Achievement Award.
LOMA’s Educational Achievement Award recognises member companies which have the greatest involvement and participation in LOMA’s industry-specific learning and development programmes, based on their total number of course enrolments during the previous calendar year.
LOMA’s Excellence in Education Award recognises member companies which demonstrate ongoing support and promotion of LOMA education programmes by virtue of:
- Its learners having successfully completed a minimum of 50 designation programme courses during the preceding calendar year;
- Having a high percentage of successful completions on all designation programme courses; and
- Showing 5% or more growth in successful course completions over the previous year.
The winners of both awards represent a broad spectrum of companies in terms of size, location and the markets they serve, but all have established a corporate culture that encourages employee involvement in industry education and recognises employees for their individual learning initiatives.
