The Bahrain Insurance Association and the General Directorate of Traffic will review mechanisms to assign dispute-free minor accidents to insurers to enhance and speed up services to the public.
The two sides agreed to review the technical and legal mechanisms of the project and the formation of a joint team to conduct a study on the project, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior.
The matter was discussed in a meeting chaired by Deputy Director-General of Traffic, Col. Mohammed Ali Daraj. The move would empower the private sector in a way that does not clash with legal requirements.
