Oman: Chamber of Commerce to publish financial services directory

A key committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has agreed to issue a directory of insurers and banks to explain the activities and services of the financial services sector to the public.
The Finance, Banking and Insurance committee said that it is important to understand the role of insurers and banks in economic and social development, and in supporting the Omani private sector in the ongoing economic circumstances, reported the Times of Oman.
The committee also underlined the importance of holding regular annual meetings for the finance sector as a platform to review and discuss recent developments and the needs of the sector.
