Excess capacity, increase in large losses, and stagnating amount of insurable risk in the near to medium term, are some of the factors contributing to persisting headwinds for reinsurers in MENA, especially for regional entities, say Messrs Myles Gould and Mahesh Mistry of A.M. Best.
