Middle East - Nominations still open for Middle East Insurance Industry Awards

Source: Middle East Insurance Review | May 2016

Nominations for the third edition of the Middle East Insurance Industry Awards (MIIA) are now open.

Middle East Insurance Review (MEIR), the organiser of the Awards, is making some changes to ensure that the MIIA reaches out to the maximum number of players in the market while ensuring a totally level playing field for all. Thus, this year, there will be a closer focus on the efforts by each nominee to serve the local markets and industry better. To enable a greater cross-section of participation, the organisers are also introducing a rule that each company can only take part in one category, with the only exception being made to licensed composites.

Mr Sivam Subramaniam, Editor-in-Chief, MEIR & Asia Insurance Review, said: “The market has heralded the Awards for its transparent process, clearly defined parameters and a distinguished panel of judges drawn from the industry, plus it is independently audited. The MIIA, co-branded with the DIFC and supported by GAIF, has come to be seen as the hallmark of all awards in the region.

“In these tough times and the greater risks faced, the good insurers must stand up and be counted. The world needs your big strong shoulders to feel protected. So flex them with the first step in sending your nominations by 15 June 2016 and addressing the criteria set.”

An esteemed panel of 21 experts and heavyweights have agreed to serve as judges.
