Bahrain business chamber calls for unified Gulf truck policy

The Transport and Logistics Sector Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has proposed for a unified insurance policy for trucks plying all GCC countries.
Mr Abdulhakeem Al Shemeri, the head of the committee, stressed the importance of the proposal and its prospect in streamlining business in the transport and logistics sector, reinforcing the sector’s robustness, enhancing its contributions to the national economy, and augmenting trade and business activities in GCC countries, reported the Bahrain News Agency.
He said he would raise the proposal with the relevant bodies, including the Central Bank of Bahrain and insurance companies.
