Jordan: Lockton opens office in Jordan

Source: Middle East Insurance Review | Dec 2015

Lockton has opened a new office in Amman, Jordan as it seeks to expand its regional footprint.

This expansion will also enable the business to better serve corporate clients’ insurance and risk management needs, and regional and international clients with operations in the kingdom. The new office will be headed by General Manager Ahmad Abdo.

The office was officially opened at a launch party attended by senior business leaders from Jordan and beyond, as well as Mr Wael Khatib, Senior Partner & Chairman, Lockton (MENA), Mr Paul Jack, Partner Lockton Companies (London), and other senior members of the MENA team.

Mr Khatib said: “Mr Ahmad Abdo is well-known and respected in Jordan, with substantial experience in the market. I look forward to working with him and his team in further building the business and supporting our rapidly growing client base in Jordan and beyond.”

Mr Abdo said: “Lockton is enjoying rapid growth and development within the UAE and broader MENA region, as clients increasingly recognise the benefits of our keen focus on meeting their needs and our ability to create effective solutions.”

Lockton is planning further expansion in countries across the MENA region in the next 12 months.
