In the current uncertain environment in which natural disasters and cyber security concerns are on the rise, it is important for the general insurance industry to not only help enhance the resilience of society but also to increase value to the community through addressing these issues as a new source of business growth, says Mr Giichi Shirakawa, the new chairman of the General Insurance Association of Japan (GIAJ).
