Egypt:Senate proposes formation of new independent authority to control population growth

The Senate - Egypt's consultative upper house of Parliament - proposed in a plenary session on 10 April that an independent authority be set up to forge a new strategy aimed at controlling the country's runaway population growth in line with the country's 2030 vision for sustainable development.
