  1.  Jordan: Gross Insurance Premiums Rise 12%
    Gross insurance premiums in the Jordanian market increased by 12% to JD241.6 million (US$341.2 million) by the end of June, up from JD216 million recorded in the same period last year, said the Insurance Commission of Jordan (IC).
 
  2.  Oman: Orange Card Auto Insurance to Take Effect From September
    The Orange Card Auto Insurance System, which allows freedom of movement for vehicles between Arab countries, will be implemented in Oman from 1 September, said the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
 
  3.  Bahrain National Holding Sells 25% Stake to Al Khaleej
    Bahrain National Holding Co (BNH) has completed the sale of a 25% stake in its subsidiary, Bahrain National Life Assurance Co, to Al Khaleej Insurance and Reinsurance Co in Qatar. The deal, worth BHD2.2 million (US$5.8 million), was part of BNH's plan to diversify its business and expand regionally.
