Egypt:Regulator mulls requiring financial institutions to have cyber insurance

Discussions are currently underway about the need to oblige financial institutions, whether banking or non-banking, including insurance companies, to insure against the dangers of cyber crime and attacks, Dr Mohamed Omran, chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), said yesterday.
