The Seoul Metropolitan Government aims to reduce traffic in central Seoul by 30% by 2030, by restricting the number of road lanes to a maximum of four and introducing a 'toxicity tax', it announced last week, reported the Korea Herald. These measures are aimed at cutting greenhouse gases in the area by 40% from the current 943,000 tonnes to 566,000 tonnes by 2030.
