Japan:Commercial quake protection gap unlikely to narrow

Japanese businesses are spending more on earthquake-resistant buildings, or spreading their manufacturing bases to mitigate potential losses from natural catastrophes, rather than attaching earthquake riders or business interruption insurance on their fire insurance policies, Fitch Ratings says in a new report.
