UAE:Premiums grow 19% to US$12 bln on govt health insurance push

Gross Written Premiums in the UAE climbed to AED44 billion (US$12 billion) in 2016, according to preliminary data from the UAE Insurance Authority. This represented an increase of 19% from AED37 billion in 2015 which in turn reflected growth of 10.8% over 2014.
