There is an acute shortage of IT security specialists that can be engaged to fend of cyber threats, reported Channel NewsAsia (CNA). This is despite the fact that there have been attacks on government networks and on the financial sector in the city-state, and annual estimated costs of S$1.25 billion (US$0.9 million) from cybercrime, according to the Centre for Strategic and International Studies.
