Saudi Arabia:Regulator focuses on insurers' profitability

The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) is working hard with the boards of directors of insurance companies, to study the internal situation of the companies, and to develop plans for restructuring. The goal is to ensure that insurers remain profitable and price their products in accordance with actuarial studies, according to the regulatory agency's Governor, Dr Fahad Al-Mubarak.
