Turkey:Insurers and municipalities lock horns over fire insurance tax

Contention exists over who should pay fire insurance tax, with municipalities thinking that all insurance contracts involving fire coverage are subject to the tax which is payable to them. On the other hand, insurance companies argue that only the premium received on fire insurance policies should be taxed.
